Leveraging legacy systems in GraphQL

Prerequisites

Basic Drupal 8 understanding and coding experience.

Session details

When developing new enterprise architecture, we are always standing on legacy systems that we can’t get rid of.

Wonder, how to bring that stuff in our newly built system which uses GraphQL?

Fortunately, Drupal’s GraphQL module’s plugins come to the rescue and help us to import data using REST API calls.

In this session, we’ll discuss:

  • What is GraphQL and basics about GraphQL

  • What are GraphQL plugins

  • How we can use GraphQL plugins to make a call and fetch data from external systems.

Who should attend?

  • Developers

  • Site builders

Drupal apprentices

The best people to train new developers are developers

The Drupal Apprenticeship Scheme will be running a London intake in March. If you are interested in hiring an apprentice or know someone who would benefit from the scheme please get in touch via the link below.

  • Created and run by experienced developers
  • Teaches core skills and best practice
  • Extensive support for businesses and teams

We are also really keen to hear from people who might be interested in mentoring, training and helping us to develop and review training materials to make sure they stay absolutely current and relevant.
