Attendees will get the most out of this session when they have at least some experience in leading one or more (development) teams.
Operating an agency is challenging. Self-steering teams and agile ways of working are the future, but in reality, only a few (Drupal) agencies have successfully put this into practice. As a company, it took us four years to transform to a future proof agency. After our transition (which is always in progress), we were finally able to scale beyond the infamous 30 people mark while at the same significantly increasing:
- Team joy,
- Team healthiness,
- Product quality (and awards),
- Revenue and margins.
This session will follow both my personal and my agency's journey in learning how to organise our agency in the best possible way. I will explain how we defined our cultural values, implemented (parts of) the Spotify model and made it our own, combine (Scrum) sprints with ad-hoc issues and tickets, changed the way we have meetings and more. Along the way, I will also share the sources of our inspiration, from articles to books, and hopefully, they can also help your organisation.
