Configuration deployment in Drupal 8
Drupal 8 Configuration Manager is a wonderful tool to manage website configurations. Besides which, it's built into the core, and has integrations with both Drush and Drupal Console.
But deploying a monolithic block of ALL configuration is not always the best solution. As a Developer you probably need to update Fields and Views, whereas your client needs the ability to change site settings and may be Page Manager instances.
- Will I delete new configuration changes on Production?
- Will I overwrite existing changes made on Production?
- How can I avoid both of them?
In this session we'll analyse how the process works, which tools are available to help you, and discover the best workflow for a successful deployment.
